Although they are more weather sensitive than a regular flight (it's like mooring a sailboat with the sail up), tether rides can take groups of up to 4 up 50' to 60' for a quick ride. An area the size of a baseball field with no sharp poky things or mud/water, and 2 additional trucks for tie down points are required.
A walk in balloon is static and tied to the ground at both ends
Cold inflated, it allows people to walk inside and see how a balloon is put together. Great visual for events and the most weather resistant balloon there is. Often used midday when tethers and flights are usually not possible.
