Transport Canada  requires a minimum of 10 hours of
ground school and 16 hours of flight under instructor
supervision. Training usually costs from $7,000 to
$8,000 but varies with the amount of equipment and
how soon you provide it.
If you start with your own equipment and crew, training
costs can be as low as $3500.
Students are strongly encouraged to have their own
balloon, ground crew, and related equipment prior to
their solo flights.
